Our Voice

Our voice rarely speak our thoughts

A true voice is the one that can be silent

And yet talk about honesty

How many days you felt lost

With infinite questions

vibrating along your spine

Leaving you without balance

How many days you felt scared

Holding back

Looking for a place to hide and to never be found

How many days you woke up to a dark day

Your tense body and cold flesh

Looking for refugee

But never got to say “I need you”

Our voice rarely transmit the voice of our heart

Our voice rarely speak our thoughts

A true voice is the one that can be silent

And yet talk about honesty

Our voice

Not only words, but emotions

Your entire self

Why can’t we let ourselves emanate through it? Why?
